TEGAN TITLEBAUM
Tegan Titlebaum is a North Carolina artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNC-Ashevile working mostly with acrylic, gouache, and charcoal.
Born on the Carolina coast and nestled in Charlotte, Tegan gathers inspiration from old stomping grounds and the beautiful areas of her home state. She works from her home studio and her traveling easel out in the world. She is interested in instinctual color, expressive marks, unexpected relationships, visual rhythm, and tight compositions.
Tegan enjoys collaborating with and encouraging artists in her community. You can find her participating in local and regional events like the Arts Mount Holly Plein Air Festival, vendor markets like NoDa Bizarre, and group shows.
Recently, she has been having a lot of fun discovering local landscapes with the Charlotte Plein Air group. Other artist groups she spends time with include Queen City Art, Creative Mornings, Urban Sketchers and various life drawing meet-ups.
RENE GALLIPEAU
A moment, a movement, a mood—this is what I strive to paint! As a passionate pastel artist with over seven years experience, I create vibrant, expressive works that capture emotion, depth, and movement through color and texture. Inspired by my surroundings, my art is deeply influenced by seascapes, landscapes, and wildlife encountered during frequent trips to mountains, beaches, and nature trails. The beauty of North Carolina mountains and beaches is a continual source of inspiration. Juried as an Associate member into the Pastel Society of America and having my work chosen by several Pastel Societies for their shows has been extremely rewarding.
Working often from my own photography, I reimagine moments from my travels. My style blends realism with an impressionistic touch, focusing on mood, light, and atmosphere. Originally from Rochester, NY; and later Montreal, Quebec, my journey has taken me across the U.S., to Maine, Florida, Oklahoma and New York, each place shaping my artistic perspective. Outside the studio, I balance art with family life and outdoor adventures with my husband and three children. I also own a small permanent makeup business and work as a Cardiac MRI technologist and Instructional Designer for Advocate Health.
