GCA Featured Artist Opportunity at CSA
The GCA has partnered with Charlotte Studio Artists (CSA) to provide our members with an opportunity to be a featured artist for a month by showcasing their work at the CSA location in North Davidson. Each interested artist should respond to our “Featured Artist Application” to provide us with pertinent information about you as well as selecting 3 months, in the order of priority, that would work for you to be a featured artist during the 2026 calendar year.
Guidelines for selection:
The GCA Exhibits chairs will use a lottery system to select two artists per month to be featured on the GCA wall at CSA. The artists who apply will be notified by December 1st if you have been selected by a lottery system, and what month you have been selected for.
Once you have been assigned to a month you may not change the month. If you cannot be a featured artist the month you are assigned, another artist from the waiting list will be contacted to take that spot. There is no cost to apply.
Benefits to each featured artist:
9’x8’ of wall space for each featured artist with proper hanging tools for you to hang your art. CSA uses a hanging system similar to that at Myers Park United Methodist.
Social media promotion from GCA and CSA throughout the month highlighting you as a featured artist on the GCA and CSA websites.
Opportunity to show your work during CSA Saturday openings
Opportunity to have a reception for your invited guests during your featured month
Free parking for you during installation and take-down
Support from CSA to create placard with artist bio, photo, website and payment info
Support from GCA and CSA
No commission to GCA or CSA. !00% of your sales stay with you.
Responsibilities of the featured artist:
2 weeks prior to your featured month you must pay $100 for use of the wall to GCA.
Select your art, prepare your bio, photo, QR codes and send to CSA

Let GCA know how many pieces you will be hanging so GCA can supply you with appropriate hanging materials.

During your featured month, volunteer for 3 hours at the front desk. This will be arranged at your convenience through the GCA and CSA.
Art displayed must conform to YMCA standards: no nudity, sexual or violence portrayal, offensive language, or obscene imagery.
Registration is closed.
